Two of my favorite moments from last night’s Oscars?
Watching actor Troy Kotsur present onstage using American Sign Language #ASL. Kotsur was the first deaf male actor to win an Oscar for the film CODA in 2022.
Also, seeing James Martin, the first actor with Down syndrome to present an Oscar (2020), join his castmates onstage to accept the Oscar for Best Short Film, “An Irish Goodbye.”
Diversity in entertainment & in life matters, and that includes people with disabilities.
