In honor of Down Syndrome Awareness Month, please join me in congratulating athlete, Chris Nikic, on his recent Ironman win!
Nikic is the first person with Down syndrome to finish an Ironman World Championship Triathlon.
No small athletic feat.
This grueling race was held in Kona, Hawaii.
Nikic finished the course in 16 hours, 31 minutes, and 27 seconds.
You can read more about Chris Nikic and his impressive athletic pursuits at ChrisNikic.com.
