For this week’s Sassy Fashionista, I’m going where I rarely go.
I’m embracing plaid.

Yea, pockets!! If you are a regular visitor to this blog, you know I love pockets.
It’s a piece I’m enthusiastically adding to my fall wardrobe. About this time of year, I lose interest in summer fashion and humidity, and I start to get excited about autumn, my favorite season of all.
I love fall, in part, because the fashion is so enticing and rich in color, fabric and design. And the weather finally gets more tolerable. In short, it’s finally cooler and hopefully less sultry. I love everything about fall, especially being less sweaty.
So, when this fall skirt popped up on my social networking, I couldn’t resist. I ordered it right then and there. It’s a brown plaid (I’m into brown fashion these days), made of cotton, elastane and modal lining. It’s a perfect weight, stylish, and it’s machine washable.
Except for being a bit pricey at $138, this didn’t disappoint. I paid the price because of the quality, and because I am a skirt girl at heart. One note. The waist on Maeve often runs small. This one is no exception. I sized up one size.
I’ve no doubt this item will be one on repeat in a variety of ways as this Sassy Fashionista enthusiastically greets fall and cooler weather.
