Today, I honor my late son, Eric, and millions of others with disabilities on this International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
It’s a time when we bring to the forefront greater awareness of the challenges facing millions with disabilities, while hoping to better meet their needs for full lives, too.
We must continue to work diligently to realize disability acceptance every day of the year. Much work remains.
Vigilance is needed, too.
