I’ve been way too attached to my brown Birkenstocks this spring and summer. I knew it was time for a new pair for fall. The old ones looked a little bit tired. Like me after too many sultry summer days.
So I got a brand-new color!
GREEN! Deep, rich shades of green. None of that neon-green stuff.
Like brown and burgundy, green is having a Sassy Fashionista moment, or so all the fashion influencers say.
I’m definitely here for that fashion announcement!
Found this sweet Birkenstock Arizona Big Buckle High Shine pair at Anthropologie.com. Got my fashion heart racing just a bit. In part, because of the price.
Birks continue to grow in popularity. Which means the $170 price tag was a reality. IF I wanted them. Sigh.
I did.
Experienced fashion chick that I am, I knew this color would sell out fast! So, in my empty virtual cart they went.
I can justify the purchase because my price per wear on Birkenstocks is always terrific. I literally wear them to death.
These will be on footwear repeat throughout the fall, granting my brown pair some much-needed respite. But those will appear again here from time to time.
Brown usually goes with more than green. Usually.
