Even though it’s still a bit warm out, recent rain and wind and the promise of November gales to come have definitely switched my Garden Moments focus from lovely bouquets, to holiday decorating. Yard cleanup continues, too.
This week, that means welcoming in Halloween, with its ghosts and goblins, colorful and even weird pumpkins with warts, and those lovely, colorful festive wreaths.
Because I still refuse to totally let go of the summer garden until the first killing frost or flurries hit, I even included my summer wreath in my porch decorating by just placing the Halloween wreath on top of it! I kind of like the look. A lot.
Do you?
It’s also that time when pumpkins sit center stage, both indoors and out, as they do in this porch photo.
I didn’t overdue the decorating because Halloween is such a short-lived holiday. But I did enough to look and feel festive, which helps me better adjust to the seasonal reality of the Garden Moments hiatus that’s fast approaching.
It will be here all too soon.
So, enjoy today’s festive, happy photos, garden friends. I hope they make you smile, too.
Happy Halloween!
