Did you know that October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month?
It’s true.
While the numbers regarding employment of those with disabilities in the past have been pretty dismal, increased awareness of the importance and smart-business practice of hiring those with disabilities is increasing.
So, too, is better preparation of college students with disabilities for future employment.
One such important effort to prepare nearly 4,000 students with disabilities for successful future employment is being made by my alma mater, Michigan State University (MSU) in East Lansing, Michigan.
