Recently, while doing a little more in-store spring shopping for those things I still want to add to my wardrobe, I found a great Free People menswear-look spring trench coat that I immediately fell in love with.
It was bit pricey.
But another online coat purchase (mistake) I was returning helped with the new expense. Truth is, I’ve been looking for this kind of b/w menswear print for a long time. It’s sophisticated and creative, with Parisian flair. It’s also lightweight and swings perfectly when I twirl. I’m sure I will get my money’s worth out of it for years to come.
Plus, it’s got pockets!!!
To capture the images I’m sharing here, I had to venture outdoors briefly yesterday on a day for which it was still way too cold to wear this. In fact, this morning we woke up to an unexpected four new pristine inches of snow covering all the grass we’d been loving.
UGH.
While it will still be a while before I can wear this coat daily, I know it will be worth the wait. Then again, knowing just how unpredictable late-Midwestern winters can be, there could be a heat wave next week.
If there is, this Sassy Fashionista will be ready.
